General Questions

Section titled “How is this different from Docker/Warden?”Docker/Warden run locally - you still need to configure everything, and collaboration is impossible. Workspace Manager is cloud-hosted, pre-configured, and built for team collaboration. You get:
- No local configuration needed
- True collaboration (not just “it works on my machine”)
- No hardware constraints
- Instant task switching between projects
What about GitHub Codespaces?
Section titled “What about GitHub Codespaces?”Codespaces is great for code editing, but doesn’t provide full application stacks with databases, search engines, and complex configurations. Workspace Manager is purpose-built for complete web application development with:
- Full application stack support
- Multi-workspace projects with shared resources
- Built for web applications, not just code editing
- Use your own IDE and tools
Can we use our own IDE?
Section titled “Can we use our own IDE?”Absolutely! Use VS Code, PHPStorm, or any IDE that supports SSH/SFTP. We also offer optional integrated VS Code Server for browser-based editing.
What about security?

What platforms do you support?

Can we integrate with our CI/CD?
Section titled “Can we integrate with our CI/CD?”Yes! Our CLI tool enables scripting and automation, including starting/stopping workspaces for deployment and testing.
What if we need a platform you don’t support?
Section titled “What if we need a platform you don’t support?”We’re actively expanding our supported platforms. Contact us to discuss your needs - we may be able to add support or create a custom workspace type.
How does auto-shutdown work?
Section titled “How does auto-shutdown work?”Workspaces automatically stop after a configurable period of inactivity (default is typically 1-2 hours). They can be restarted in seconds when needed. This saves infrastructure costs without impacting developer productivity.
Can we customize the workspace configuration?
Section titled “Can we customize the workspace configuration?”Yes! You can set default configurations at the project level, and developers can customize their individual workspaces as needed.

- Free 1 month trial
- Flat monthly fee based on team size
- Infrastructure costs (if deployed to your AWS account)
Coming soon: Multi-tenant SaaS with per-seat pricing (~$200-250/user/month).
Is there a minimum commitment?

Can we scale up or down?

What about data security and compliance?
Section titled “What about data security and compliance?”When deployed to your AWS account, you maintain full control over your data and infrastructure. We never have access to your code or data. You can implement your own security policies and compliance requirements.

What are the infrastructure requirements?

Can we run it on-premises?
